Yes. Every video in Field Footage is recorded in the running game client: the live world map and each unit’s 3D model straight from the in-game research screen. New footage goes up on our YouTube channel almost every day, and the Field Manual documents how every system works.
Broken Front runs in your web browser and on desktop. Mobile is planned for the future.
The current theatre is Europe, with around 40 playable nations on real-world geography. More theatres, including the Americas and Africa, are planned on the way to a full world map with 100+ nations.
Each nation is controlled by one commander, so a full Europe match supports around 40 players. Nations nobody has claimed still exist, and attacking them means war. Matches run in real time over days or weeks.
No. The war runs on the server around the clock, whether you are logged in or not. Your units keep carrying out their orders and, once you are at war, engage enemies on their own. Production and research keep running on their timers.
Enter your email in the enlistment form below. You’ll get an email with your access when your spot in the closed beta is ready.
Premium adds features like full replays of your matches. It gives no gameplay advantage.
