Research Trees

Thirteen trees, straight chains — no branching, no cross-gating.

CATEGORIES, THEN CHAINS

Each tree splits into independent categories — typically 3–15 per tree. Aircraft has 6 (Air Superiority Fighters, Ground Attack, Maritime Strike, Reconnaissance, Electronic Warfare, AWACS); Missiles is the largest with 15; Submarines has just 4. Within a category, techs form a strict single-file chain, not a branching tree — the standard pattern is 9 rungs: T1.0 → T1.3 → T1.6 → T2.0 → T2.3 → T2.6 → T3.0 → T3.3 → T3.6. Each rung's only prerequisite is the one directly before it in that same category — no skipping, no alternate path.
