FROM INVENTORY TO THE MAP
A generic mechanic for support equipment: produced like a normal unit — cost, production time, building and research gates — but it lands in inventory as a spare part rather than spawning on the map. A carrier unit with the right capability can walk it out and deploy it in place; once the timer finishes, one inventory item is consumed and the gear appears as its own independent stack. Packing it back up requires that same specific carrier to return and stand on it — packing doesn't destroy the gear, it just returns to inventory.
