BUILD, LOAD, DEPLOY, PACK
Support equipment is produced like a unit — cost, time, building and research gates, one slot in the base's unit queue — but it lands in that city's inventory instead of on the map. From there:

Load it onto a carrier with the right capability, at one of your cities — ground units within 10 km of the city centre, ships within 25 km, landed aircraft within 15 km. A carrier holds one piece of gear at a time.

Deploy it anywhere the carrier goes. When the timer finishes, the gear stands as its own stack.

Pack it — the carrier returns, stands on it, and takes it back aboard. Packing never destroys it.

Unload it at any of your cities to put it back into that city's inventory.
