Broken FrontFIELD MANUAL

Ammunition

Ten families — one round per shot.

EVERY GUN DRAWS A FAMILY

Every direct-fire gun on a ground unit or surface warship uses one ammunition family and holds a fixed number of rounds (see Firing & Reloads). Each shot spends one round; a dry gun stops firing. The damage belongs to the gun, not the ammunition, and ammunition needs no research. New units leave the factory with a full load.

THE TEN FAMILIES

Built at Weapons Development on its own ammunition line — 2 / 3 / 4 slots by level, separate from missiles, so ammunition never waits behind a missile batch. Batch size follows the Weapons Development level when you queue.
