Broken FrontFIELD MANUAL

Moving Supplies

Production happens at home; fighting happens at the front.

CARRIERS

Missiles and ammunition travel in a transport's hold, limited by weight. Some tiers also cap how many heavy missiles they can take.

TRANSPORTHOLDROUTES
GROUND TRANSPORT (TRUCK)2,000 – 8,000 kgDepot to depot, or drop a cache anywhere; parked, it is a depot itself
MISSILE TRANSPORT9,000 – 20,000 kgSame as a truck, more weight
TRANSPORT HELICOPTER1,000 – 10,000 kgDepot to depot, or drop a cache
AIR TRANSPORT (PLANE)20,000 – 60,000 kgAirfield to airfield only — no drops, no caches

TRANSPORT ORDERS

You can load and unload by hand next to a depot, or give one order: pick up at a source, deliver to a target depot or drop it on the map. The transport drives to the source, loads what's there and fits, drives on, and unloads what the target has room for. Loading and unloading take time per item, and the transport only leaves once handling is done. A new move order, a failed route or a cancel ends the order; a destroyed transport takes its order and cargo with it.

Trucks and missile transporters need a loading bay at these buildings, transport helicopters a loading helipad. An order whose first stop is such a building books a bay when you give it, and is refused while every bay is taken. A delivery books one when that leg starts — if none is free, the transport unloads beside the building instead. A bay stays booked while the transport travels there and stands on it, and is freed when it moves anywhere else. Bays are per building and never count against production parking.

MISSILE CACHES

A truck or helicopter can drop its cargo on the map as a cache: a forward depot with no capacity limit. Your ground units draw from it like from a building, and transports can load from it. A drop within 200 m of one of your caches adds to it. An empty cache disappears.
